Our background
We have existed in our current form since 2003. Our history goes back much further and spans a period of more than 45 years. We originated from the DSM Pension and Insurance Company, which was founded in the 1970s to manage the pensions and investments of the DSM Chemie Pension Fund.
Over the past 20 years, we have continued to develop. Our professional drive as a pension administrator and asset manager has resulted in solid growth through the merger of Stichting Pensioenfonds Gist Brocades, one of the first Dutch pension funds, with Stichting Pensioenfonds DSM Chemie, resulting in a strong pension fund for DSM in the Netherlands, followed by the affiliation of Stichting Pensioenfonds SABIC (SPF) and later Stichting Pensioenfonds SABIC Innovative Plastics.

As of 1 December 2023, the shares of DSM Pension Services B.V. have been acquired by Stichting Pensioenfonds DSM Nederland. This is another milestone in our history. The acquisition will enable us to continue the integral nature of our services, to strengthen our strong relations with the current pension funds and, in the long term, to broaden our customer base by building new strong partnerships based on our full-service package of services.
